A report has caused outrage in North Darfur, after allegations that in November, 20 pupils at a Koran school were raped by the sheikh, who presided over the school, northwest of El Fasher.
Another member of Sudan’s suspended Empowerment Removal Committee (ERC)* has been detained, as the coup authorities continue their crackdown on political opponents. Doctors in the Sudanese capital strongly criticised the large, roughly tenfold increase of prices of medical services in government hospitals, which was decided on by the Khartoum state government.
