Sudan’s emergency lawyers condemned the security force’s recent violent campaign against activists in Khartoum. The lawyers stated, groups of “heavily armed forces stormed a number of houses belonging to activists, firing bullets and tear gas cannisters into their homes”, on Monday.
Abdelshakour Barma (24) was killed, and his father, Barma Tarboush, was wounded in an armed attack in the Sirba locality of West Darfur on Monday.
Two defence lawyers were caught on a hot mic saying racist comments against the recently dismissed Director General of the Public Authority for Radio and Television, Luqman Ahmed, during a live broadcast of his trial on Sudan’s official news agency (SUNA), who later took down the video.
