Four dead in South Darfur highway robbery

Four people were killed and four others were injured in an armed robbery in Tullus locality in South Darfur, on Tuesday, when three men on a motorcycle intercepted a commercial passenger vehicle in the Um Barbata area in Tullus, en route from Sengo in El Radoom locality to the South Darfur capital Nyala.

Joint force launched for security in Darfur

A joint force comprising regular Sudanese forces and contingents from the parties to the Juba Peace Agreement, was officially launched by the Governor of Darfur, Minni Arko Minawi in El Fasher yesterday. This initial joint force will form the nucleus of a larger force designed to protect civilians in Darfur, as stipulated in the agreement.

Health Ministry: Four COVID-19 vaccines now available in Sudan

The Director of the Immunisation Department of Sudan’s Ministry of Health, Ismail El Adani, says that arrangements have been made to receive and facilitate storage doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, with the installation of refrigerators that can keep the vaccine at the required minus 70 to minus 80 degrees Celsius.
